Decisive Dellums?

Am I the only one who found the Chip Johnson love fest for Ron Dellums to be a be of a non sequitur? It's certainly positive that the Mayor seems to have turned over a new leaf and is making decisions, but a more reserved attitude is still in order until we see that it's been sustained. I don't know enough about Lindheim to react strongly pro or con his appointment but this seems not to be the case for FutureOakland and others.

    You are certainly not the only one - his column had no point and was confusing! Chip usually makes pretty persuasive arguments so I'm not sure what happened today.

    The Lindheim appointment couldn't be much worse. Please contact your Councilmembers to urge them not to approve his appointment! You can find out more at Living in the O, Future Oakland, or A Better Oakland.

    Crazy. You have to wonder what happened to Chip. Two years of great columns and then this. Dellums has been such a disaster as mayor, the last thing we need is a guy like him on the public payroll again -- in any capacity.
